This year, when the faithful throughout our Church is celebrating a great jubilee – 800 years of autonomous Serbian Orthodox Church, back then Archdiocese of Zica, the faithful from Seattle area, on Sunday, January 27, 2019, celebrated all Serbian Slava – St. Sava.
After the Divine Liturgy, the students of our Sunday School and Serbian language School prepared a recital in honor of St. Sava that thrilled the audience. After the Academy, the students received traditional gift bags, and the celebration continued in the Church hall with the blessing of Slava Bread and festive luncheon prepared by kumovi Milan and Renata Radic and other parishioners.
Georgian brothers and sisters, who on this same day celebrate St. Nina Equal of the Apostles and Enlightener of Georgia, by their presence and various national dishes, brought a special blessing and joy to our parish.
